Part 2- A tell all đŸŽ±

Part 2- A tell all đŸŽ±

Okay so some of you have reached out wanting tips & tricks already! But I feel like I can’t move forwards without helping those who are baby smiths! So I am going to try my best to give you guys a little list of everything I used when I first started out and links!

FIRST THINGS FIRST - STONES. Yes, I am going to tell you where I buy my stones. If you have been following me it shouldn’t be a surprise because I tag my suppliers. But I’ll tell you more here. American Stoneworks & Rough Stock Turquoise are my top suppliers. Kingman Turquoise Mine is also a big spend for me. Kingman is hands down my absolute favorite turquoise for so many personal reasons!  I do occasionally get my stones from Barbwire McGuire & McGuire Rocks (who are part of American Stoneworks!). I also have been getting some stones from Jeremy Smith Turquoise. I will list their IG handles at the end so you can follow them! The quality from all of these business is absolutely stunning and top notch in my book. You can’t go wrong.

NEXT- SILVER. The most expensive part of this whole gig. I get all my silver from Rio Grande. From solder, to back plate, to decorative wire. Rio has a Pro Service that you can acquire on your account after you’ve spent a specific amount. You get full product access, bigger discounts, better shipping rates and better customer service! Again, it’s expensive but that’s the name of the game. I’ve never had ANY issues with Rio and their customer service is amazing. Plus they’re fairly active on their social media and love seeing people tag them! We love that!

Other than stones and silver.. I bought a beginners kit on Etsy! I am still using most of these items currently. It is $200 and literally everything you need to get started, tool wise. They don't give you butane, but you can get that at your local hardware store. I have upgraded a few of my tools since getting this kit, but honestly I still use almost 80% of it. Their shipping is pretty quick and it comes with a toolbox to keep everything organized! I highly recommend it.

That’s it for today’s little tell all đŸŽ±. Heres some links! Be sure to ask questions! I have a social channel on my IG specifically for questions/ comments/ concerns! You can also comment here and I will get back to you or make a post answering you!

What do you get from Rio to begin with. I got the starter kit from Etsy. But the Rio website is so confusing when you don’t know what anything is.
